Nemdil Wet Wipes
Cute packaging right? Do you know these wipes are dangerous? Well, at least for European customers. Because US citizens can use whatever… right?
So… I got these wipes as Christmas present. I actually don’t really know where that person bought them, because I’ve never seen this brand in my life. But since I didn’t know this brand and since I don’t use just anything on my child I googled it. And what I found? I found Czech health department report that this piece of S use forbidden substance called IPBC (3-Jodprop-2-yn-1-yl-N-butylkarbamát) that can cause thyroid problems. Which in little babies can be very damaging.
I just opened the packaging and these wipes SMELL. Like strong chemical smell. Also this product contains Benzyl Alcohol and a lot of products do (see my old article here lenithemonster.com/2017/09/22/rip-products-toners).
From the article and wiki:
Benzyl alcohol is used as a bacteriostatic preservative at low concentration in intravenous medications, cosmetics and topical drugs. The use of benzyl alcohol as a 5% solution has been approved by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of head lice in children older than 6 months and in adults. It affects the louse’s spiracles, preventing them from closing. These then become clogged with water or mineral oil or other matter and cause the insect to die from asphyxiation. Benzyl alcohol is used effectively for treating lice infestations as the active ingredient in lotion shampoo with 5% benzyl alcohol.
So … you know…
I checked my other wipes and Pampers not even Lupilu from Lidl contains this chemical.
Well I already tried these Nemdil wipes on my floor stains and they work great!
